  Absolutely love this bakery. The only place I will buy my bread, love their hi-top loaves, they freeze so well. If you want the best kitchener buns in Adelaide this is the bakery to go to, fresh cream. Everything they sell is high quality and so reasonably priced. Thank you Athelstone Bakehouse

  This store, inside the Athelstone shopping centre ( next door to Romeo's foodland) has the best small pies pasties and sausage rolls. (Though my husband is not on board with the sausage rolls- he says mine are better.) At the time of writing you get 12 good sized mini pies or pasties or s rolls for $8. And the pasties are the best of the lot. Others swear by their large sized pies and pasties, but if you can get a fresh one I am still with Vili there. They also sell cold rolls, all kinds of buns and cakes.. The donuts are the cheapest in Adelaide, fresh and as big as the old Balfours ones used to be. The staff are very kind and remember us although we don't live in the suburb anymore. The only bad thing is they ONLY TAKE CASH not credit cards.. so be prepared or go to Foodland first and get some money out. The cold drinks ie cans etc are also a reasonable price. So the top two items are the small pies and pasties for taste and value, the pasties are so good you can eat them cold. And the donuts. yes. Just a warning, ring ahead as the pasties sell out quickly.
